It started with a treasure hunt. Brett Heyman was in search of the perfect vintage clutch, or rather, all the vintage clutches of a specific variety: acrylic evening bags in beautiful colors, with satisfying clasps and gorgeous hardware, made with the skilled precision of master craftspeople in the 1950’s and 60’s. Brett stalked antique shops and flea markets until she had over 100 clutches in her collection, when it seemed like she’d exhausted her supply. It was then, in 2011, that she decided to create her own. Brett partnered with an American factory and began reimagining the mid-century pieces she coveted—with a twist. Conceived as a line of clutches, Edie Parker is now home to a growing home collection.
